Group benefit plans are well known, but there is an option that can stand by itself or as a supplement to a medical/dental plan. Business owners, whether non-incorporated or incorporated, may be able to deduct medical costs for themselves and their employees, and respective family members, as business expenses. This can be accomplished through what is known as a ‘cost plus’ plan. It is seen as a part of some benefit plans, or it can be obtained as a non-insurance plan through a third party administrator. One I refer to is CustomCare. Although the CustomCare ‘cost plus’ plan itself is not insurance, there are two insurance products available to plan members. Please read through the information.
